Cornus canadensis (Bunchberry dogwood, Canadian bunchberry, gozen tachibana)

A perennial of the family Cornaceae.

Discovered in Gozengamine, in Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture. Named after their ripe red berries that are reminiscent of those of karatachibana (Ardisia crispa). 

*Seedlings start to grow new buds around March.
