Futaba aoi (futaba literally means “two-leaved”) usually have heart-shaped twin leaves at the end of each stem.

They produce tiny nodding flowers near the ground.

Also named kamo aoi as they are used in the Aoi Festival, a centuries-old annual Shinto festival at the Kamo-jinja shrines in Kyoto, as the shrines’ symbol.

*Currently leafless. We deliver seedlings that are just about to sprout.
