Acer palmatum (Nagaragawa momiji)
¥1,200 (incl. tax)
An attractive maple tree native to Gifu Prefecture in central Japan, where runs the Nagaragawa River. This tree has uniquely shaped, narrow, small leaves, making it a popular seedling for a dwarf bonsai or potted sanyaso wild plant.
Tips for growing Nagaragawa momiji maples
Nagaragawa momiji like sun, but not overly strong and direct sun. Well-ventilated, partially shaded locations work well for this maple. Water well to keep the soil moist. Prune appropriately in spring and early summer when new shoots appear to maintain the maple’s shape.
